Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Degen Downs website, Discord bot and PP token features. Read them before you play.

1. Who we are and agreeing to these terms

Degen Downs (the "Game") is an animal racing game operated by Dost Backalley ("we", "us" or "our"). The Game includes this website, the Degen Downs Discord bot and the PP token features (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Independent developer

The Service was designed and built by LoafPickle Worldwide LLC ("LoafPickle") as an independent software developer. LoafPickle is not the operator, owner, sponsor or promoter of the Service, PP or any other token, is not a party to these terms, and provides no warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LoafPickle Worldwide, its owners and contributors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or other damages, or any loss of funds, tokens, data or profits, arising from or related to the Service or its use. All questions, requests and claims about the Service must be directed to the operator.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement. You may not use the Service where it would be illegal for you to do so, and you are responsible for following the laws that apply to you.

4. The Game

The Game is an animal racing game. Players back a runner with PP, and each runner shows a fixed reward multiplier. Race outcomes are generated from Algorand block data and can be replayed with our public verifier. Practice mode runs entirely in your browser with fake PP and needs no wallet. Live races in Discord use PP.

5. PP and risk

PP is a crypto token. Play at your own risk. PP is an Algorand token used in Degen Downs. Its value can go up, down or to zero, and nothing on this site is a promise that it will be worth anything. Tokens you enter into a race can be lost. Nothing here is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. You are solely responsible for making sure that using this site, entering races and taking part in raffles or prizes is legal where you live.
  • Some PP is given away free through the daily wheel. You don't have to buy anything to play.
  • We make no promise that PP will have, keep or gain any value. Nothing about PP or the Game is an offer of an investment or financial product.
  • PP entered into a race are collected using the token's on-chain clawback feature, so you don't have to sign every entry. By linking a wallet and entering races, you authorise this. Rewards are paid in PP only.
  • We may change daily claim amounts, reward multipliers, limits and other Game rules, pause or end PP features, or reverse PP obtained through bugs, exploits or abuse.
  • You are responsible for any taxes or legal obligations that may apply to you.

6. Your responsibility for local laws

Entering races, prizes and raffles puts PP at risk. Laws on games of chance, prizes and crypto differ between countries. You are solely responsible for making sure your use of the Service is legal where you live, and you must not use the Service where it isn't.

7. Wallets and Discord accounts

  • You connect your own self-custody Algorand wallet. We never hold your recovery phrase or private keys, and we can't recover lost wallets or reverse blockchain transactions.
  • Signing in uses a Sign In With Algorand message: a signature that proves you control your wallet. It is not a transaction and is never recorded on chain. Only sign requests you understand.
  • You may link one wallet to one Discord account. Switching wallets has a cooldown. You are responsible for activity on your linked accounts.

8. Daily claim

The daily claim is limited to one claim per wallet and per Discord account each UTC day and requires a linked Discord account. Each claim is a spin of a wheel with fixed, published odds, decided by the Service when you spin. The one-time welcome bonus is limited to one per person, wallet and Discord account. Using multiple accounts or wallets, bots or scripts to claim more than intended is not allowed. We may refuse, reverse or stop claims at our discretion.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or use the Service for fraud or money laundering;
  • exploit bugs, interfere with the Service, or attack its systems or other players;
  • impersonate others, harass anyone, or misuse Discord features;
  • scrape or overload the Service, or use automation to gain an unfair advantage.

We may suspend or block access, unlink accounts or revoke PP if you break these rules.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Discord, the Algorand network, wallet providers (such as Pera and Lute), node and indexer providers, and hosting providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for their services or outages.

11. Intellectual property

The Degen Downs and Dost Backalley names, logos, Big Jack and the other animal characters, and the artwork belong to Dost Backalley or its licensors. You may share screenshots and links for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that PP will remain available.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dost Backalley and its affiliates, contractors (including the Service's developer, LoafPickle Worldwide) and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, tokens, digital assets, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service, PP, blockchain networks, wallets or third-party services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to US $100, or the smallest amount allowed by law if that is not permitted where you live.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dost Backalley and its affiliates, contractors (including LoafPickle Worldwide) and agents from any claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or any trading of PP or use of the Service where it isn't legal for you.

15. Changes and ending the Service

We may update these Terms. The effective date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Service means you accept the changes. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, including PP features, at any time.
